What is God's will for my life?
A question many, if not all, Christians ask during their time on the planet. Many wrestle with choices, stressing whether or not a decision falls in line with God's ultimate plan for their lives.
I've been there. Haven't you?
In this book, MacDonald explains God's will regarding His sovereign will—the ability to achieve His planned purpose through His power, no matter what. He then describes God's moral will or written will—what is explained in the Bible. In summary, God wants us saved and sanctified.
But, how does that play out in our day to day? MacDonald articulates the reality of choice and using the boundaries presented in God's moral will to execute those decisions.
MacDonald writes in a user-friendly manner. However, I did find this book challenging to my thought processes, speech, and belief system. None of that is wrong. On the contrary, I found this book to be very enlightening, and in many ways, freeing.
I have the compact hardback version (eight chapters, 187 pages)—sturdy and highlight worthy. I also listened to the audible version, and it was well done. My favorite parts of the book are found in the last two chapters where MacDonald discusses decision making parts 1 and 2. In fact, I'm considering this book as a graduation gift for many young people who are launching into the world of, "What ifs".
