Both of my degrees specialize in serving students with special needs, and ten plus years in the field of education were dedicated to doing just that. Teaching is a joyful opportunity, one that the Lord still blesses me with outside the walls of the traditional classroom. There is nothing like seeing the pride on the face of child or adult when they reach a milestone they never thought they could achieve. Words cannot express how much I truly miss it some days. However, as I indicated, God is faithful.
My writing always contains a plot point involving individuals with special needs; therefore, I would like to donate 5.00 from every copy of Daughter of the King that is sold between now and October 31 to the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. If you buy a book from me personally, or off my website, please write a special note (DSACF) and I will write the check to this organization at the end of the month.
