When I first began writing, I named my publishing company 'Papa's Girl Publishing' for a reason. I had always considered myself a Papa's girl, not only from the standpoint of being a daughter of the One true King, but also being very special to my own Papa.
In so many ways, my Papa always made me feel special. He taught me a lot about dedication and faith just by living his life out in front of me. I'll be forever grateful for his steadfastness in loving Jesus.
He died too young. I would have loved for him to have met his great-grandchildren, but his last words have stayed with me these past 18 years. Really, they were a gift.
I love you, princess.
So, I've thought a lot about how special that word makes a woman, of any age, feel. Here's a little acronym I made up for myself:
Proud-Be proud of your identity as a daughter of the King.
Resourceful-We are inherently blessed with the ability to solve a puzzle.
Intelligent-Ask questions. Be curious. Pursue TRUTH.
Necessary-You have a divine purpose, and have been placed here for a reason.
Cheerful-Be joyful, despite your immediate circumstances.
Excited-It is blissful just to breathe, to make a difference, an impact in anyone's life.
Sacrificial-It is so, so much better to give!
Strong-You are not weak. God gave you Himself to lean on. Girlfriend, the Rock won't move!
