This is an older book, written in 2007, but still very relevant today. Many of us have experienced this heartache and still re-visit at times. That dark place of despair, that anxiety-ridden corner where you feel you are invisible, alone in your pain. All lies from the enemy, by the way. But very, very real. Sheila Walsh who has been there, done that, and shared her story many times, weaves pieces of her own journey into this extremely applicable Bible Study. Divided into three sections: Heartache, Warfare, and Community, Sheila leaves no stone unturned in the battle against this statement that many of us can relate to, "I had become used to hiding from others what was going on inside myself." In the introduction she asks a few questions:
1) Are you a victim of well-meaning friends who have told you to get over it?
2) Have you tried to do it yourself, to tidy up what's going on inside with a quick fix?
3) Do you struggle with shame?
4) Have you listened to those who come in Jesus' name, promising healing for your wounded
Prayers and life application points are found at the end of each chapter. A Bible study that can be completed individually or in a group is found at the end of the book.
Highly recommend. You can find it easily on Amazon and Kindle.
