Have you ever seen a weaver weaving a rug or cloth? It's quite something! They have a design in mind, probably drawn out on paper. They have selected the right colors and set their weaving machine so that with each pull, the full design makes sense. That is how God works with our lives. He is the Master Weaver, and we are His design. There are moments when God pulls a crazy color into the tapestry of our lives and it doesn't make sense to us, BUT when the weaving is done, the tapestry shows off His creative design and its beauty. This is what I witnessed this week.
My husband and I are fans of Ken Ham and the Answers in Genesis Creation Museum. Just a few days ago they opened the newest exhibit to Answers in Genesis, the Ark Encounter. They have actually made Noah's ark to the Bible's dimensions. We now no longer need to use our imagination on what it must have looked like; we can actually go and visit it. This week I got to watch the Ark Encounter ribbon cutting ceremony live on Facebook. Ken Ham talked about how they got to this point in this huge project. They first started out with a vision and with prayer. They knew what they wanted to do; they just weren't sure how it was going to all get done. Then God started His weaving. According to the Ark Encounter, this is a small list of those that have worked on the Ark.
I look forward to the day when I can take my family to Kentucky to see the Ark in person, but as I was watching the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Lord tugged at my heart. "What can you offer?" He asked me. "How can you use your talents?" I hope I get to be that crazy color woven into the tapestry of someone's life. To God be the glory!
