This morning I saw the rays from the sun spiking up from behind the mountains. It is one of those beautiful visions which makes you stop in your tracks and just be quiet. Somehow anything spoken would take away from the holiness of the moment. The columns of bright white light with hues of yellows and violets all on the backdrop of an endless blue horizon made for such a stilling moment! Yet it was only a sign of things to come. The glorious fan of light was only the announcement of its source; the light which rules the day. A light so great and powerful that in the hours before its crack over the dawn evidence of its existence already proclaims larger reality! Ah the grace of such things; the softness of a new day’s birth. Prisms of light glazing off the atmosphere off into places unknown. The hope of more warmth and beauty to come! Such is the dawning of this day!
I thank you that the light of Your love, Your grace and Your mercy already spire up illuminating the darkness of this present age. Father, I praise you for your Son, Jesus, whose cross and resurrection are truly the glory rays of the greater dawning of HIs return. Help me, Christ, to live in the fullness of thanksgiving for the light of Your love. I thank You I need not squint, nor wear shades, but I'm compelled and able to gaze directly into the fullness of Your facial glow. Holy Spirit, I thank You for the people and things You are using to humble me! I'm grateful for the places of pain from this world which drives me to Your healings. Help me, Lord, to be one of those beams of light this day which signals a greater light to come. Christ, please help me to live only in the grace of this moment forsaking all other distractions which would move me away from this peace. You are forgiveness; help me to be a forgiver!
