Stillness versus active stillness. As we abide, something happens inside of us. #truth I LOVED this week because I have a hard time staying still, but the concept of active stillness appeals to me. Amanda refers to this conundrum as reaching "unicorn status".
Day One: Rest in Truth
Scripture: Matthew 11:28-30, Luke 10:38-42
Favorite Quote: "I'm uncomfortable with rest because it means loosening my grip. It means slowing my feet and temporarily or even permanently, forfeiting my plans." So ME!
Day Two: Remain in Truth
Scripture: John 15:1-5
Favorite Quote: "When I think of the people on earth who feel like home to me, I'm reminded how much greater still is the home I have in Christ."
Day Three: Renewed in Truth
Scripture: John 15:1-4
Favorite Quote: "We're learning that abiding in Truth is not only a resting stillness, it's also an active stillness. It is going to where Jesus is, and knowing there is nothing more urgent than a relationship with Him."
Day Four: Return in Prayer
Scripture: Psalm 9:1-4
Favorite Quote: "Walking, running, crawling to the throne of the Most High God—these, too, are actions of abiding."
