May be one of my favorite sensations. To be caught in the rain, nowhere to go, no umbrella...you are just there experiencing one of nature's great phenomenas. And, there is truly nothing you can do about it.
No matter how hard I try, there is nothing I can do about the rain. Sure, I can take shelter. Yet, it still rains. Kind of like life, right?
We are all going to have stuff fall on our heads. We all have our junk. What are we going to do with it? How are we going to handle it? That is the true question, right? It's not a question of if....but rather, when?
So, here is the deal. I have experienced torrential storms in my life. Anxiety, depression, tragedy, disease.....my list probably looks a lot like yours. On the other hand, I have also basked in the sunshine of joy. The sources of delight in my life are too many to list.
I live in Central Florida where the sunshine and rain can happen simultaneously, within yards of each other. Observing the two together is truly a sight to behold, one I often take for granted. However, it is a perfect illustration for life. Through this blog, I would like for you to stand in the rain with me and scream. Scream in anger, sorrow, excitement, and yes, ultimately joy.
